This will most likely be my last entry on Deviantart.
I'm here to post the link to my new page [link] , and, as a lot of people have been asking, to post the main reasons I'm leaving:

1. Deviant Art has rights on whatever is posted on their website. Quoted from the ToS "DeviantART is, unless otherwise stated, the owner of all copyright and data rights in the Service and its contents."
I think this basically means that even though they don't have rights on the OC that you, I, or anyone posted, the art itself is part theirs, and they can claim rights on it. The same way, if they decide they want to use your art for any reason or purpose... they can.
This is the main "WHY" I'll also be deleting everything. (other reasons include still getting comments, and +watch when I won't even be around anymore... it's kind of pointless and I'd be wasting people's time.)

2. A DA page is a popularity contest. Pageviews became an e-penis to the point Deviant Art has added options you can exploit to get some without even posting art or journal entries... it kind of reminds me of gold with Gaia.
MangaBullet also has pageviews, but you can disable it. Which I will do. Instead of giving gifts for pageviews, I'll just randomly pick someone every month or two, so just poke me and you'll be eligible ;D

3. The DA community is degrading. I get stunned by the comments I can get. Sometimes they're unsettling and some other times I can't even read what's being said!
I don't have as much fun I used to have. I don't see the point of just dumping art there and only talking to 2 or 3 people.

4. I want to post pronz. ¯ 3¯ (Nah, I wouldn't be leaving for that.. but it's a plus Mangabullet has.)


A webpage is a webpage, deviant art or any other place, does it really matter? So yeah, Mangabullet isn't as popular and it's new and shit... so what? I like quality over quantity, and I don't need pageviews or to know that x number of people watch me on some webpage to feel good about my life.


Lastly, I did promise a gift for my 50K on here, and I'm not gonna disappoint you; I'll simply change the terms of my gift.
10th person to comment my mangabullet profile mentionning they knew me from deviant art will receive that gift.
If you post more than one comment to be the 10th one, I just won't pick you though, play fair. :\
